Still here and checking in from time to time. One of my friends from LA might drag me to the desert over memorial day. I might regret whatever he has planned. Great macro photos, more camera envy.

Before my back blowout, I bought a Fatbike to cruise around on....I bought the damn thing brand new and "fixed" it for the desert but never got to ride it until last weekend...looking forward to more bicycle rides in the desert.

Still here! Enjoying the long winter/spring rains and second flower blooms before the heat turns on. I've been doing hikes by the coast between the Wife's honey do's. Getting ready for San Jacinto. Daren: Nice bike. Looks like fun playing around with the air pressure in those tires to give the ultimate ride. :-)

The spring had running water, but the flow was definitely less than a few years ago. The pipe is probably partially clogged.

Correct, got a new camera. Learning to take better photos and process them.
I know most of the ones I've posted and will post have some major flaws. It's a work in progress. More below:

@Tekewin I don't take the camera peakbagging. I wouldn't trust myself with it bashing through rocks on anything tough.
@Ziphius I will probably be there.
@Dsefcik I always knew lots of planes flew over Borrego, but it is ridiculous. The star trails and milky way were taken with multiple photos stacked with a free software I found online. Planes get removed with varying degrees of success since they are not common between the images. I don't know a better way to remove planes without photoshop skills well beyond me. Here is one of the individual photos from the milky way set with a plane trail.

To remove plane trails most paint programs or photo program will do. Its a simple cut copy and paste a like area into the affected one.

You did it! Congrats. One of my top10 favorite So.Cal hikes. San Gorgonio. Highest peak in the Peninsular range and Transverse range. The peninsular range extending almost 1000 miles down to the tip of Baja California. The next highest peak is hundreds of miles north in the mighty Sierra Nevada range. Numerous aircraft ran into "Old Greyback" over the years. Much wreckage still up there. Looks like you went up Vivian creek trail. More pictures?
