We recently purchased a Kelly Kettle and tested it out this past weekend. Loved it!! Boiled water in about a minute and a half !
This is a great option to using fuel based stoves or carrying propane canisters. It will boil water and if you purchase the accessories, will cook food. To read my review click on the image.

It was one of those purchases where I asked myself "Do I really need this?" After using it I am pretty sold.
Think I will look into the accessories to cook food also.

Yeah, I was wondering what extra parts you would need to cook food with it after checking it out online. It also seems like a good item to have around the house for the inevitable power outages in San Diego. Or the boil-your-water orders following our water-main-of-the-week-breaks. The city is falling apart.

Good idea. I guess you could also consider it a piece of Bug-Out equipment for when the s*&t hits the fan
