Anza-Borrego made national news for the superbloom.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/capital-weather-gang/wp/2017/03/08/this-park-in-the-desert-southwest-is-experiencing-a-wildflower-superbloom/

What areas do you guys/gals think are the best viewing spots?

Henderson Cyn is always spectacular but crowded....anywhere that has big open sandy washes will be blooming.

This was almost 2 weeks ago. Every thing is growing! I would head to the washes or just drive around.

We had good luck around Indian Gorge/Valley
I agree some of the more hidden washes would be worth checking out.

There's lots of flowers but in the southwestern section of Borrego no super bloom. We currently have a heat wave which is to go on through mid next week. This will burn off some of the ground cover shortly.

Micro blooms. Taken with a 100mm macro in a coarse sand stream bed.

Along the 8 freeway driving thru Alpine....lots of fields of pretty yellow & orange flowers along the roadside and adjacent hills.

Awesome photos! I could not drag the family out the last couple of weekends. I will be bummed if I miss this year.
