Really like photographing these. @ the desert museum near Ocotilllo there will be an "Evening with the Expert" May go to this.
“Evening with an Expert” is on June 17th. This one will feature Marie Barret, a local wildlife biologist with over 20 years experience working with birds of the Imperial Valley. She will be talking about her work with the burrowing owl. RSVPs are required, and the suggested

Very nice, I have never actually seen one out in the field. I need to start taking my digital camera and zoom lens out again, you have given me a little motivation.

Carrying a camera sometimes can be a pain. I use the Capture pro. Mounts onto your backpack harness. Has a quick release to remove and snap away. Keeps camera from swaying back and forth and keeps it out of the way. For me, holds my full size SLR and a medium zoom (17-105). Other lens go in backpack. Before I got the clip, camera stayed in backpack or at home.. If you don't have quick access to camera the good stuff gets away.

This is my usual DSLR carry system...right on the sternum strap.

That works. Almost picked up the same a while back. Here's mine sort of. But mounts to the strap. Selfie wife and I.
