That winding green snake-like line is the route of the Sunrise Powerlink. It follows the Southwest Powerlink through Ocotillo and then zig zags west.

By my calculations the line would pass right over (or very close) to the Lazy Lizard in Ocotillo.

The people in white shirts were SDG&E employees explaining how the Sunrise Powerlink is going to cure all of our energy problems. In their defense they did offer cookies and refreshments.
