Did an 8 miler out on the south side of Carrizo creek into the bad lands. About a 1/4 mile from the base of Coyote I see a line pole sticking out the top of a ridge. Took a bit to find a way up.

Closer to the base of Coyote I see another marker, this one stone on another ridge. Had to go up and take a look.

Took a while to find a way up. Dont know what it was for.

Finally at the base. I believe this is the ridge line Daren S went up on a loop he did last year or the year before. Im on the west side of it. I spent an hr or 2 hrs wigwagging to get to it. Lots of dead end washes. Fun day never-less.

Might just be mining claim markers or similar. The S22/23 is just a section marker.

Interesting that this side of Carrizo creek,, at least the washes I was exploring were void of sand. Really hard pack stuff. I did find some animal tracks in one section. Looked like oversized racoon. Pored some water on to see if the hard pack would de solve nope stayed hard. Didnt get any pictures for some reason. There was also some smaller tracks next to it. Looked the same. The other side badlands of Carrizo creek are full of sand.
