Those cans I would suspect are from the Paroli Homestaed era, last I remember they were near that cave. The black bird can be heard and seen almost everywhere in the park, zipius will correct me but I think it is the Phainopepla and anybody who hikes with me will know how off key I am trying to mimic their call...smile

Curious about the eggs and nest, was that on the ground, how big?

It's an amazing area and is culturally preserved for the obvious reason. The fire cleared a lot of brush making it easier access some areas. Unfortunately fires sometime attract wrong doing treasure hunters who take advantage of the cleared brush. And than theirs the good doing treasure hunter who just want to help preserve history and take some simple photos.
