9/22/2018 Topic: San Diego Sheriffs in the Carrizo Gorge Canebraker Jeff	There are not enough Sheriffs to patrol anywhere in South East San Diego County. In Canebrake we have a group of volunteer Sheriffs that patrol twice a week. They will walk around homes that have requested a check looking for break-ins and such. They are wonderful folks and we appreciate them. We used to have a Ranger living next to the Canebrake fence, but the Southern District Ranger now commutes from Borrego Springs. Now they have closed the Border Patrol check point north of Ocotillo so the whole area is screwed.
