Anyone been out lately towards Wilson Peak Trailhead/Pinyon Ridge Trail ? I am thinking about going out and doing a hike that way soon, but I was wondering how bad/good the dirt road is right now. I would be driving a Subaru Crosstrek.

I did that last September. Of course, the conditions of desert roads can change even in a few months, but it was fine then and my guess would be that it still is. I entered on the Jasper trail. I didn't go quite all the way to the trailhead. I turned off at one of the camping spots before that. But if my memory from previous trips is correct I think it actually gets better between there and the trailhead. There's a lengthwise rut along the top of the hill (the part I did drive), but it's easy enough to steer around. I'm also in a Crosstrek.

Have a sense of adventure, you have a Subaru not a Toyota Yaris Big Grin

As of a couple weeks ago before the last snow storm you could easily get in from the Jasper trail turnoff on S22 and then turn left down Old Culp Valley Road to the trailhead. That is probably the easiest route. You can also make it up from the bottom of Old Culp Valley Road. I doubt that has changed much. I haven't done the section at the top in a while that goes into Ranchita.

The park road conditions web page is overly cautious to the point of being useless. Almost everything is listed as 4wd high clearance. There are very few true 4wd high clearance roads in the park. There are definitely some.
