They were finally able to get Guillermo Pino's body out of the Mud Caves
Looks like they had to use specialists from a Mine Rescue Team

Really makes me think about all the trips I have spent out there.
You never think anything is going to go wrong.
I am glad the family will get some closure now. upset

Very sad indeed, and a reminder to anyone (many of us!) that may go exploring in remote areas alone. I thought of this young man while I was checking out the gold mines near Banner this past weekend. If something had happened, it would have been a long time before I was found, even though I told people where I was going and stayed near a well-traveled road.

RIP Guillermo

My prayers go out to the family, and pretty crazy that out of all the professionals trained in cave exploring that it was a family member that finally found him. Glad there was a resolution on this.

Herofix, would love to see your trip report on the mines you explored smile

Thanks, yeah I'll be posting it soon. If only work would quit getting in the way!

What I read today suggested a group looking for him created some kind of cave in that allowed them to see his body. I know I have been in Hidden Cave many times before, alone on triple digit days...food for thought. The family has shown amazing strength thru all of this.
