Was trying to head out last weekend for a short backpack trip but the weather wasn't cooperative so postponed. Did decide to head out on Sunday and ended up wandering around west of the Indian Hill area. Spied this Red Racer hopelessly stuck in a 5 ft pit near the powder can shack. Couldn't tell if he was dead or alive till I tossed a handful of sand at him and his head moved. Jumped in and grabbed him and he quickly became the luckiest snake in ABDSP smile

Looking pretty thin. Finally saw him start to move and when I got done looking around, he was gone. Hope he makes it!

The powder can shack is fading fast but there are other ones out there.

Top of a flask or salt shaker? Only thing I found that wasn't rusting.
