Went poking around the boulders off the 8 freeway the last couple of weekends with Tom and there are still some nice blooms on the cactus.

Saw a nice 5' Gopher(?) snake laying in the road on the way home

Tom found some old mining debris and 2 large pits. One had some of the rocks piled up to form a couple of walls
