Whale Peak via the Pictograph Trail

I recently took a group of hikers ( 12 ) up to Whale Peak via the Pictograph Trail and Smugglers Canyon. We had a great time on the hike. It started off a little warm but once we hit the shade in the canyon that helped quite a bit. There is not much of a trail to follow until you get to the top of the canyon and connect up into the northern route up to the peak. Here is my write up on the hike on my web site.

Thanks everyone. I'm a personal trainer at a club in Carmel Valley, and I started a hiking club there about 1 1/2 years ago. The group usually averages 6-8 people for some of the hikes, the largest group I had was 20 people when I took them to Eagle Rock. http://www.ihikesandiego.com/eagle-rock-hike/ I usually take the group out once a month to hikes somewhere in San Diego County, sometimes we head up to San Jacinto, or Mt Baldy. I've been waiting for the temperature to come back down to a comfortable number before I took the group out on another hike in Anza Borrego. The last hike I took a group on out here was the Mortero Palms to Goat Canyon Trestle Bridge hike. http://www.ihikesandiego.com/mortero-palms-goat-canyon/ . I'm always looking for ideas for upcoming hikes for my group, If anyone has any favorite hikes out in this area please let me know.

Thanks. Those are not from the GoPro though. I just use my normal camera Canon G15 ( until I can get something nicer) and use overlapping portrait shots, take them into Photoshop to stich them together and then play around with lighting and color in lightroom. I find I get much more information this way then using the pano on my phone. Sometimes I'll make several panos and them stich them all together vertically to get a much bigger image then I could do otherwise.

Thanks for the heads up, I took a look at that Autopano software, it looks pretty cool, and a lot easier then taking it through Photoshop. I'll have to give that a try.
