2/15/2012 Topic: Best spots to camp karmiclife

I have been camping in the Anza Borrego for a number of years. It seems to be hit or miss on finding a sheltered area (from the wind). Have you found spots that consistently have no wind? I would love you hear of your favorite spots.

We tend to car camp with our tents in isolated areas. My husband's 4WD can get through most spots... aside from the crazy drop offs. dsefcik, Thanks for the welcome... I was hoping the answer wasn't that "when it is windy in the desert you will get a windy campsite" But you are probably right. I recall staying in Oriflamme Canyon once... it has been a while. Coachwhip Canyon is a good one. We may be heading back out there this weekend.
