Went poking around the boulders off the 8 freeway the last couple of weekends with Tom and there are still some nice blooms on the cactus.

Saw a nice 5' Gopher(?) snake laying in the road on the way home

Tom found some old mining debris and 2 large pits. One had some of the rocks piled up to form a couple of walls

Some old honeycomb

That's it...I think we picked up 3-4 mylar balloons.

Surprised the gopher snake let you get that close. I like the honeycomb shot too.

Nice snake, really sharp pics. Which camera? That's a massive amount of honeycombs.

Any one seeing live hives out there anymore? Have found several abandoned ones filled with honey but no bees in the last couple years. Just me?

Technically it is a 4x5 negative...I have not developed it yet, waiting to take a few more so I don't waste all the chemicals on one negative. Bought a couple new lenses for it that just showed up so maybe this weekend I can take it out again.

This is the camera (not my actual camera, from the web)

I would say a couple years for me also but it seems like bees are back this year, at least what I have seen.

Here you go...over exposed, the shutter needs adjustment. You can see De Anza resort, Gray Mtn & Table Mountain way off in the background. The one thing with these big negatives is you can zoom 100% in and still see lots of detail.
